This model of Jim Green's "Green Elephant was built, box stock from the Revell Jungle Jim Vega Kit.  I used Slixx decals and Boyd's paint.

   

This model won First Place in the Hobby Town USA model car contest in the Adult Box Stock Class in 2002, and a Second Place finish at the Funny Car Reunion contest at Englishtown, New Jersey, in 2003.  One of my favorite Funny Cars.

This Hawaiian Monza Funny Car was built box stock using the Don Prudhomme Monza re-issue kit from Revell.

The Barry Setzer Funny Car and Pro Stock models were built in 1973.  The Funny Car was the yellow Pisano & Matsubara Revell kit.  The Vega Pro Stocker was an MPC Grumpy's Toy, '72 Vega model.  The decals came from the MPC Barry Setzer Funny Car model.

   

Ray Alley's Charger was built from a Revell Gene Snow "Snowman" Charger re-issue kit. 

   

Again-Slixx decals were used.

   

The Jungle Jim Monza was built right from the box.  Jungle Jim and Jungle Pam are included in the kit.

This is an original S.E.W. Vega.  I reconditioned the body about two years ago, touched up the black and white, and some odds and ends and cleared it.

   

This model has held its own for about 30+ years.  I plan on building a new chassis soon from the many I have stockpiled over the years.

   

The Detroit Tiger driven by Tom Prock.  He drove this car for the late Poncho Rondon.  Built from Don Prudhomme Monza Funny Car re-issue kit using Slixx decals.

Utica Flash Demon Funny Car-This is an original model that took 30 years to build.  Revell ran an advertisement in National Dragster in the mid-70s with a cartoon of a HEMI engine that displayed all of the Revell sponsored drivers and owners crawling all over it.  Once you identified all of the drivers, you had to send your answers into Revell.  

   

Everyone who properly identified all of the drivers was sent a model kit.  The Utica Flash Demon Funny Car was the model that I won as a child.  I built the body almost the minute it arrived.  In 2005, I finally built the rest of the kit that was still in the original box with the full page ad.

Scott Kalitta's Olds Cutlass Funny Car was built using McDonald's Funny Car and Slixx decals.

   

Scott Kalitta's American International Airways Top Fuel dragster was built box stock from a Revell kit.

   

Ed "The Ace" McCulloch's Otter Pops Olds Cutlass Funny Car was built box stock from a Revell kit.

   

   

This Winston Camaro Funny Car is a resin body over a current Revell Funny Car chassis with Slixx decals.

   

Tom Hoover's Pioneer Dodge Avenger Funny Car was built from an original issue Revell kit.

   

Don Prudhomme's, Ron Capps driven Copenhagen Camaro Funny Car.  This body is resin over a current Revell chassis. Don't recall who manufactured the decals.

   

Kenny Bernstein's Bud King Top Fuel dragster was built from a current Revell kit using gray market decals.

   

These four Funny Cars were released at the same time by Monogram.  Still have a couple of sets in boxes, unbuilt.

   

Revell's McDonald's Firebird Funny Car was built box stock.  Interstate Batteries Funny Car was built from the same McDonald's kit using Slixx decals.
